The Patriots worked the phones like thieves and earned a A-. There is conviction, and then there is this. The Patriots took Phillip Webb a full 155 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.
Landing Neal that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own.
The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Lawson pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at quarterback.
A strong weekend's work, and a rare one to find this little fault with.
