Draft Grade — Patriots
Overall B
ValueB+ NeedB TradesC- FutureA
Larceny in Round 3, Pick 13 lands the Patriots a B, Henderson and all.

Somewhere a general manager is explaining how TreVeyon Henderson got past him. The Patriots do not have to explain a thing at slot 77. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. Reaching for Harris left real value on the table behind him.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick14 Rnd1 Armand Membou
In slot 14 they get a building block for the line at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick38 Rnd2 Emeka Egbuka
They let Emeka Egbuka come to them and pounced at the 38th overall pick. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick45 Rnd2 Jalon Walker
Jalon Walker at the Round 2 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick69 Rnd3 Tate Ratledge
No drama and no debate, Tate Ratledge went about where he belonged in pick No. 69. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick77 Rnd3 TreVeyon Henderson
You do not let a running back like TreVeyon Henderson reach the 77th pick and blink. They did not. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick106 Rnd4 Kevin Winston Jr.
A quiet steal in pick 106: Kevin Winston Jr. for less than the market said. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick148 Rnd5 Nick Nash
Nick Nash at No. 148 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick180 Rnd6 Jack Nelson
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Jack Nelson. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick217 Rnd7 Jermari Harris
They paid up for Jermari Harris at the Round 7 slot when waiting would have done the job. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
