A masterclass at the trade table lands the Patriots a A-.

The Patriots did not so much draft Michael Pratt as overpay for him, 34 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. Landing Ford that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. The Stover pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots still on the board.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.

Add it up and this is about as clean as a draft weekend gets.
