The Patriots finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a B+.

The search is over. The Patriots handed the keys to J.J. McCarthy, and the whole operation now runs on his development. Good, not great, and the B+ says as much.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. However the rest shakes out, Isaac at that price is a win they earned. The Tyler Lockett deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
