If you want a masterclass in dealing, watch the Patriots, who turned every swap into a profit this weekend. They executed a plan and it shows in the A-.

They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. However the rest shakes out, Oladapo at that price is a win they earned. The Patriots clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

Few war rooms will sleep better than this one tonight.
