The Patriots left with their quarterback, and a A- to match.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Patriots spent their marquee pick on Drake Maye, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. They banked enough surplus on Wilson to cover a lot of smaller sins.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. Every board in the league had Nesbit lower, and that gap is the story.

In the end it comes back to Drake Maye, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
