The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Patriots spent their marquee pick on Jayden Daniels, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. No fireworks, but a solid B.

The cost of the Williams reach is exactly the players who went right after him. That is a linebacker worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
