ValueB-

TradesA+
FutureB-
A passer of the future in Nix, and a B+, for the Seahawks. They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Bo Nix is the Seahawks' quarterback, full stop. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.
The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. The Barrett steal is the beam this whole class leans on.
Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. If Davis pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick24
Rnd1
Bo Nix
In pick 24 they get their guy under center for the next decade. A real need, handled.
Pick56
Rnd2
Jonah Elliss
Jonah Elliss at No. 56 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick86
Rnd3
Christian Mahogany
They paid sticker price for Christian Mahogany in the 86th pick, and that is fine. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick95
Rnd3
McKinnley Jackson
McKinnley Jackson in the 95th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick117
Rnd4
Junior Colson
Junior Colson at slot 117 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick118
Rnd4
Mohamed Kamara
Mohamed Kamara in the Round 4 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick138
Rnd5
James Williams
James Williams is a better player than Round 5, Pick 2 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick162
Rnd5
Jasheen Davis
Jasheen Davis at pick No. 162 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick194
Rnd6
Jalen Berger
A straight-up fair deal on Jalen Berger at slot 194, value and slot in agreement. It fills a real need, too.
Pick210
Rnd6
Michael Barrett
They robbed the room for Michael Barrett here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick236
Rnd7
Eric Gentry
No drama and no debate, Eric Gentry went about where he belonged in the 236th overall pick. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick250
Rnd7
Edefuan Ulofoshio
Nothing to complain about; Edefuan Ulofoshio went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
