Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall C+
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesD- FutureB-
The phones sank the Eagles this weekend: C+.

The Eagles put a flag in the ground for Charles Turner III, 64 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit. A mixed bag that lands at C+.

Devonshire falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Hit on Nate Wiggins and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.

Pick Analysis
Pick22 Rnd1 Nate Wiggins
In No. 22 they get a potential shutdown corner. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick50 Rnd2 Edgerrin Cooper
A market-rate linebacker, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Edgerrin Cooper. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick53 Rnd2 Xavier Worthy
By-the-book stuff, Xavier Worthy at pick No. 53 squarely in line with his ranking. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick120 Rnd4 Javon Foster
No edge and no loss on Javon Foster in Round 4, Pick 20; it is a wash and a sensible one. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick161 Rnd5 Tykee Smith
Tykee Smith in the 161st pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick171 Rnd5 Isaiah Davis
They let Isaiah Davis come to them and pounced at slot 171. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick172 Rnd5 Xavier Thomas
Xavier Thomas at No. 172 is money in the bank, a edge rusher taken below his worth. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick180 Rnd6 Jordan Jefferson
Jordan Jefferson in slot 180 is fair value, right on his grade. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick181 Rnd6 Curtis Jacobs
They jumped the gun on Curtis Jacobs, taking him earlier than his grade liked. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
Pick185 Rnd6 Joe Milton III
A conviction pick on Joe Milton III at pick No. 185 that the board grades a round light. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick210 Rnd6 Caedan Wallace
They paid sticker price for Caedan Wallace in pick 210, and that is fine. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick225 Rnd7 M.J. Devonshire
M.J. Devonshire in the 225th pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick231 Rnd7 Charles Turner III
Value said wait; Charles Turner III in the Round 7 slot says they were not listening. It fills a real need, too.
