A costly weekend of dealing drags the Eagles to a D.

Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Eagles spent No. 161 on Tyler Batty, a name the board had a full 70 spots lower. It grades a D, and the process earned it.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. Landing Horton that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

They punted on cornerback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
