They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. J.J. McCarthy is the Broncos' quarterback, full stop. No fireworks, but a solid B+.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. However the rest shakes out, Jackson at that price is a win they earned.

The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The cost of the Jacobs reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
