They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Michael Penix Jr. is the Patriots' quarterback, full stop. The sum of the weekend is a deserved A.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. The Rosengarten pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.

The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.
