After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Patriots committed. Jayden Daniels is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.

They banked enough surplus on Franklin to cover a lot of smaller sins. The Turner pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
