A masterclass at the trade table lands the Patriots a B+.

The Patriots ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided. The bottom line is a respectable B+.

Williams has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

However the rest shakes out, Fortune at that price is a win they earned.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
