Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B-
ValueC NeedB+ TradesC- FutureA
A solid, sensible weekend for the Bills: B-.

Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Bills spent pick No. 134 on Layden Robinson, a name the board had a full 41 spots lower.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. However the rest shakes out, Wallace at that price is a win they earned. The dealing tilted against them, just enough to notice.

They left with linebacker solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

Pick Analysis
Pick60 Rnd2 Ruke Orhorhoro
Ruke Orhorhoro at No. 60 is a conviction pick that outran the value. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick81 Rnd3 Leonard Taylor III
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Leonard Taylor III. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick128 Rnd4 Sataoa Laumea
No edge and no loss on Sataoa Laumea in the 128th pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick134 Rnd4 Layden Robinson
A real head-scratcher, Layden Robinson in Round 4, Pick 34 is miles ahead of his ranking. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick144 Rnd5 Malik Mustapha
They talked themselves into Malik Mustapha at the 144th overall pick, and the board did not agree. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick163 Rnd5 Braiden McGregor
Braiden McGregor at pick No. 163 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick189 Rnd6 Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint
By-the-book stuff, Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint at pick No. 189 squarely in line with his ranking. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick200 Rnd6 M.J. Devonshire
M.J. Devonshire slipping to Round 6, Pick 25 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick204 Rnd6 Eric Watts
This one needs a full-page explanation: Eric Watts in slot 204, miles early. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick248 Rnd7 Trevin Wallace
Value with a capital V on Trevin Wallace in the 248th overall pick, a genuine coup. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
