Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesC+ FutureB-
The Bills robbed the room for Allen. Final grade: B-.

When a board-topper like Braelon Allen slides to pick 128, you do not overthink it, and the Bills did not. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

The linebacker hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Taylor has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick28 Rnd1 Adonai Mitchell
In pick No. 28 they get a home-run threat at receiver at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick60 Rnd2 Ruke Orhorhoro
No edge and no loss on Ruke Orhorhoro in pick 60; it is a wash and a sensible one. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick128 Rnd4 Braelon Allen
A running back of that caliber at No. 128 is the definition of value, full stop. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick134 Rnd4 Jaylin Simpson
Jaylin Simpson in the 134th overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick144 Rnd5 Justin Eboigbe
They paid sticker price for Justin Eboigbe in the Round 5 slot, and that is fine. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick163 Rnd5 Malik Mustapha
Malik Mustapha at slot 163 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick189 Rnd6 Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint
No drama and no debate, Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint went about where he belonged in the 189th pick. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick200 Rnd6 M.J. Devonshire
M.J. Devonshire slid further than he should have, and Round 6, Pick 25 is lovely value for the cornerback. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
Pick248 Rnd7 Trey Taylor
They reached into another round for Trey Taylor, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
