Draft Grade — Bills
Overall

FutureB
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Bills: B-. Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Bills never addressed linebacker, and it is the kind of gap that lingers.
The Boyd pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. Wright at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.
They went 5 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. Their trades came out a wash either way.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but linebacker.
Pick Analysis
Pick28
Rnd1
Brian Thomas Jr.
In Round 1, Pick 28 they get a go-to option on the outside. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick80
Rnd3
Jaylen Wright
Jaylen Wright slipping to the 80th pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick128
Rnd4
Mohamed Kamara
No drama and no debate, Mohamed Kamara went about where he belonged in the Round 4 slot. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick134
Rnd4
Justin Eboigbe
A conviction pick on Justin Eboigbe at the 134th overall pick that the board grades a round light. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick144
Rnd5
Trevor Keegan
By-the-book stuff, Trevor Keegan at slot 144 squarely in line with his ranking. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick148
Rnd5
Khristian Boyd
Khristian Boyd in pick No. 148 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It fills a real need, too.
Pick160
Rnd5
Malik Mustapha
The board had cheaper options than Malik Mustapha at pick 160, and it noticed. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick163
Rnd5
Dwight McGlothern
They paid sticker price for Dwight McGlothern in No. 163, and that is fine. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick200
Rnd6
Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint
Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint at pick No. 200 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the wide receiver. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick204
Rnd6
Jaylen Harrell
No edge and no loss on Jaylen Harrell in Round 6, Pick 29; it is a wash and a sensible one. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick248
Rnd7
Trey Taylor
A real head-scratcher, Trey Taylor in the Round 7 slot is miles ahead of his ranking. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
