Larceny in pick 119 lands the Buccaneers a B-, Carter and all.

You could see the war room lean forward. Barrett Carter at Round 4, Pick 18 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

Every board in the league had Griffith lower, and that gap is the story. They will answer for taking linebacker early while tight end, edge rusher and other spots went begging. A whole weekend of picks and tight end is somehow still a want.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with interior defensive lineman chief among the fixes.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
