The Steelers did not so much draft Joe Milton III as overpay for him, 73 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. Some smart calls, some head-scratchers, and a C- in the wash.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

It nets out as a middle-of-the-pack haul that neither helps nor hurts much.
