A passer of the future in McCarthy, and a B-, for the Broncos.

After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Broncos committed. J.J. McCarthy is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The cost of the Crumedy reach is exactly the players who went right after him. Getting Simpson where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.
