A franchise passer in Daniels headlines a D weekend for the Steelers.

When a board-topper like Dorian Singer slides to Round 7, Pick 17, you do not overthink it, and the Steelers did not. It grades a D, and the process earned it.

The whole projection now runs through Jayden Daniels; hit there and everything else looks smarter. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere.

The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Steelers indulged a want in Frazier while a need in interior defensive lineman, linebacker and other spots stayed open.

Frazier has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and interior defensive lineman is still a hole.
