The Steelers got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D.

They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Thor Griffith, 85 picks early at the Round 7 slot.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. Getting Pierce where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, quarterback very much included.
