A Yank on the Footy DRAFTING FOR THEBrowns

FutureB-
Quarterback settled, Mendoza in the fold, and a B for the Browns. The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Browns spent their marquee pick on Fernando Mendoza, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.
The Reese value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick Analysis
Pick4
Rnd1
Fernando Mendoza
In Round 1, Pick 4 they get their guy under center for the next decade, even if it was a touch early. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick31
Rnd1
Arvell Reese
In pick No. 31 they get a sideline-to-sideline linebacker at a price that makes it sweeter. More want than need.
Pick38
Rnd2
Mansoor Delane
A slide stopped in the 38th pick, with Mansoor Delane worth more than the price. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick61
Rnd2
Germie Bernard
They took Germie Bernard at par in the Round 2 slot, which is nothing to complain about. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick69
Rnd3
Xavier Chaplin
Xavier Chaplin in slot 69 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It fills a real need, too.
Pick70
Rnd3
Jaeden Roberts
A premium they did not need to pay, Jaeden Roberts a notch or two before his time. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick90
Rnd3
Ian Strong
Ian Strong slipping to No. 90 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick95
Rnd3
Keon Sabb
Nice patience on Keon Sabb, who had no business lasting to the 95th overall pick. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick104
Rnd4
Drew Shelton
Drew Shelton at slot 104 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick211
Rnd6
Quinten Joyner
They paid sticker price for Quinten Joyner in the 211th pick, and that is fine. A need, and now a little less of one.
