After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Raiders committed. Shedeur Sanders is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

On value alone, Hairston makes the weekend a net positive. Every board in the league had Smith lower, and that gap is the story.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
