Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesA+ FutureD-
A passer of the future in Maye, and a B-, for the Raiders.

The search is over. The Raiders handed the keys to Drake Maye, and the whole operation now runs on his development. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

Logue has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Johnson.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick3 Rnd1 Drake Maye
In pick No. 3 they get their quarterback of the future. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick77 Rnd3 Mike Sainristil
Value with a capital V on Mike Sainristil in the 77th overall pick, a genuine coup. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick113 Rnd4 James Williams
James Williams at Round 4, Pick 13 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick136 Rnd4 Sataoa Laumea
A offensive lineman of that caliber at pick 136 is the definition of value, full stop. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick147 Rnd5 Trevor Keegan
A reach on Trevor Keegan in the Round 5 slot; the board had better options right there. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick221 Rnd7 Cornelius Johnson
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Cornelius Johnson in the 221st pick, plain and simple. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick225 Rnd7 Michael Barrett
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Michael Barrett at No. 225. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick227 Rnd7 JD Bertrand
They read the board right and JD Bertrand was the payoff at slot 227. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
Pick238 Rnd7 Zion Logue
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Zion Logue. The roster fit checks out.
