The 49ers spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Alfred Collins, the No. 57 name on the board, in Round 7, Pick 37.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. Spending an early pick on cornerback with tight end open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.

That tight end hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
