Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall D-
ValueB- NeedB TradesF FutureB-
The Ravens lost the trade table, and the D- tells the story.

The Ravens lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. A weekend that fought the value and lost, hence the D-.

They will need Cole to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

However the rest shakes out, Green at that price is a win they earned.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, quarterback very much included.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Adonai Mitchell
In Round 1, Pick 30 they get a No. 1 receiver. A real need, handled.
Pick62 Rnd2 Blake Fisher
No edge and no loss on Blake Fisher in the 62nd overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick93 Rnd3 Renardo Green
A top-tier safety at a bargain, Renardo Green in slot 93, plain and simple. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick105 Rnd4 Brandon Coleman
Brandon Coleman at the Round 4 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick110 Rnd4 Will Shipley
Will Shipley in the 110th pick is fair value, right on his grade. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick113 Rnd4 Mekhi Wingo
A slide stopped in pick 113, with Mekhi Wingo worth more than the price. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick130 Rnd4 Myles Cole
A big swing on Myles Cole at pick No. 130, well ahead of any board in the building. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick218 Rnd6 Trey Taylor
They liked Trey Taylor enough to skip the value, taking him in No. 218. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick228 Rnd7 Bub Means
A straight-up fair deal on Bub Means at the 228th overall pick, value and slot in agreement. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick250 Rnd7 Daequan Hardy
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Daequan Hardy. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
