Mathews Jr. should have been long gone. The Giants pounced, and earned a B-.

Everything else got attention, and interior defensive lineman got none. That is a strange way for the Giants to leave a draft. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Mathews Jr.. Every board in the league had Tollison lower, and that gap is the story.

They went 6 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
