Draft Grade — Cardinals
Overall C+
ValueD- NeedA- TradesB- FutureB-
Some hits, some head-scratchers, and a C+ for the Cardinals.

Boards are made to be trusted, and the Cardinals shredded theirs for Jaxson Dart. He came off 75 spots early, and the room will hear about it. The good and the questionable cancel out to a C+.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Simon. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

The verdict is a shrug for now, with the swing picks left to write the real ending.

Pick Analysis
Pick19 Rnd1 Cameron Williams
In the 19th overall pick they get a blindside protector, though the board says they badly overpaid. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick51 Rnd2 Jaxson Dart
A big swing on Jaxson Dart at Round 2, Pick 19, well ahead of any board in the building. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick83 Rnd3 Rylie Mills
Rylie Mills at slot 83 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick120 Rnd4 Dane Key
They reached into another round for Dane Key, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick156 Rnd5 Cody Simon
A linebacker of that caliber at pick No. 156 is the definition of value, full stop. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick195 Rnd6 DJ Uiagalelei
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for DJ Uiagalelei. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
