Call it larceny. AJ Barner sat on the board until the 173rd pick, and the Bengals did not need to be asked twice. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through cornerback. The cost of the Johnson Jr. reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The roster is better shaped than it was, with tight end chief among the fixes.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the cornerback spot they never got to.
