You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Cowboys did exactly that with Blake Watson in the 244th overall pick.

The Jackson value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
