You could see the war room lean forward. Karene Reid at slot 256 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped tight end, which is a strange place to end up. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
