You build a draft on nights like this. Jalen McMillan had no business being available in the Round 5 slot, and the Steelers did the only sane thing and turned in the card.

Every board in the league had Nourzad lower, and that gap is the story. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. The Steelers indulged a want in Nourzad while a need in quarterback, interior defensive lineman and other spots stayed open.

They went 4 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
