Every swap seemed to tilt away from the 49ers, and the value they bled adds up to real damage.

Jayden Daniels is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. With interior defensive lineman and edge rusher unsolved, spending premium capital on cornerback is the choice that costs them.

Jacobs falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and interior defensive lineman is still a hole.
