The Cowboys got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D.

The Cowboys put a flag in the ground for Jordan Jefferson, 32 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit. The process wobbled, and the D is where it lands.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

With quarterback and tight end unsolved, spending premium capital on edge rusher is the choice that costs them. The Phillips steal is the beam this whole class leans on.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and quarterback is still a hole.
