Larceny in slot 231 lands the Steelers a B, Giddens and all.

Call it larceny. DJ Giddens sat on the board until the Round 7 slot, and the Steelers did not need to be asked twice. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.

Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. They trusted the board more than the depth chart.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

They did well to land Tre Harris in No. 56, just ahead of his grade. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.

Darien Porter at pick 83 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the cornerback. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.

Will Howard in the 122nd pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
