Larceny in the Round 6 slot lands the 49ers a D-, Davis and all.

When a board-topper like Isaiah Davis slides to No. 215, you do not overthink it, and the 49ers did not. The process wobbled, and the D- is where it lands.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. The Rice reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. Job largely done: offensive lineman settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered.

In short, the board sent warnings, and they will be hoping it was wrong.
