The 49ers won the night they stopped Fairchild from sliding. Grade: B.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Dylan Fairchild tumbling to the 49ers in the Round 7 slot is a gift they did not have to think twice about. The bottom line is a respectable B.

For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
