Draft Grade — 49ers
Overall B
ValueA NeedB- TradesB- FutureB-
The 49ers robbed the room for Milum. Final grade: B.

The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Wyatt Milum, pick 227, roughly 191 picks past where he belonged. The bottom line is a respectable B.

They will need Prieskorn to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.

Pick Analysis
Pick11 Rnd1 Travis Hunter
A tidy bit of business in the 11th overall pick, where Travis Hunter graded well above the range. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick43 Rnd2 Mykel Williams
The board fumbled Mykel Williams all the way to No. 43, and they scooped it up. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick75 Rnd3 Kenneth Grant
Somehow Kenneth Grant was still sitting there in pick No. 75, and they pounced on premier interior defensive lineman value. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick100 Rnd3 Armand Membou
A top-tier offensive lineman at a bargain, Armand Membou in the Round 3 slot, plain and simple. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick113 Rnd4 Nick Emmanwori
Nick Emmanwori at the 113th pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick138 Rnd4 Darius Alexander
Darius Alexander slid further than he should have, and pick 138 is lovely value for the interior defensive lineman. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick147 Rnd5 Ashton Gillotte
Steal is underselling it; Ashton Gillotte at Round 5, Pick 9 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick160 Rnd5 Quinshon Judkins
They robbed the room for Quinshon Judkins here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick227 Rnd7 Wyatt Milum
They barely believed it either: Wyatt Milum still on the board at No. 227. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick249 Rnd7 Jake Briningstool
Jake Briningstool in the 249th overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick252 Rnd7 Caden Prieskorn
Caden Prieskorn at the 252nd pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
