They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. J.J. McCarthy is the Patriots' quarterback, full stop.

Reaching for Hadden left real value on the table behind him. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.

The Patriots clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.
