The Patriots finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a B+.

The tape said wait; the Patriots did not. Kamal Hadden went at No. 139, a good 97 picks before the board was ready. The bottom line is a respectable B+.

The whole projection now runs through J.J. McCarthy; hit there and everything else looks smarter. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Legette at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
