Whoever sat across the table from the Patriots should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.

They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. If Hadden pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

The Turner pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. The veteran additions, Bernhard Raimann chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
