Hadden should have been long gone. The Patriots pounced, and earned a B-.

Call it larceny. Kamal Hadden sat on the board until the Round 6 slot, and the Patriots did not need to be asked twice. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

Reaching for Baker left real value on the table behind him. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

They went 3 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
