The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Patriots reached some 100 spots for Edgerrin Cooper, and value like that does not grow back.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
