There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Patriots started one anyway for Edgerrin Cooper, 121 picks ahead of schedule. The sum of the weekend is a deserved A-.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

It is a haul that will look even better come September.
