Stone should have been long gone. The 49ers pounced, and earned a A-.

The rest of the league will want that one back. David Stone tumbling to the 49ers in Round 2, Pick 26 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A-.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. For all the activity, wide receiver went untouched, which is hard to explain.

In the end it comes back to Ahmad Hardy, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
