The Browns did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Deontae Lawson fell into slot 193. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A-.

They are betting Davis proves the room right and everyone else wrong. For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.
