The Saints won the night they stopped Wallace from sliding. Grade: B. Somebody in pick No. 239 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Saints sat still while Caedan Wallace, the No. 212 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
They are betting Hall proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped tight end, which is a strange place to end up. On the needs board they went 7 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
