Mondon Jr. should have been long gone. The Seahawks pounced, and earned a D-.

The Quinn Ewers pick is the one that will follow the Seahawks into the fall. They took him 53 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so. The math is unkind, and the D- follows.

That is a linebacker worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, edge rusher very much included.
