You can hear the double-takes from here. The Bills took Hayden Conner at No. 179, roughly 34 spots before his name belonged.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Getting Lambert-Smith where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Linebacker was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
